RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer, configure, and maintain database systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine database tasks such as backups, restores, and updates.
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor database performance and resolve issues promptly.
- Troubleshoot and debug database-related problems as they arise.
- Collaborate with developers and analysts to design and optimize database structures.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance database efficiency.
- Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical data.
- Conduct regular tests of backup and recovery processes.
- Manage user access and permissions to ensure data security.
- Create and maintain user accounts and profiles.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and guidelines.
REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
- Proficiency in managing relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of database security best practices and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
