RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, implement, and maintain efficient and secure database systems.
- Collaborate with software developers and system architects to ensure seamless integration of database systems.
- Monitor database performance and recommend improvements for optimal efficiency.
- Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of database queries.
- Implement and enforce security protocols to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of data.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability in the event of system failures.
- Test and validate backup and recovery processes regularly
- Investigate and resolve database-related issues promptly.
- Provide technical support to teams regarding database-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and support their database needs.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of database architectures, configurations, and procedures.
REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in database design, implementation, and optimization.
- Experience with relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Knowledge of data security best practices and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
